While the RISCY team is finalizing the development of its first processor, the RISCY-ONE, we are already preparing a technology platform for its rapid integration into real-world devices.
We chose the K1 processor, developed by the Chinese company SpacemiT, as our closest architectural counterpart, and based on it, we designed and manufactured our own System-on-Module (SoM).
We used an approach that has proven successful in the NVIDIA Jetson platform: all the complex computational components—the processor, RAM, flash memory, and critical peripheral circuitry—are housed on a single computing module, while the specific features of a given device are implemented on separate carrier boards.
This architecture has long been an industry standard. Once developed and thoroughly tested, the computing module serves as the foundation for an entire family of devices, while a relatively simple carrier board with the necessary interfaces, mechanical components, and peripherals is created for each specific application.
This makes the solutions more compact and reliable, and significantly reduces the development time for new products. As the platform evolves, ready-made carrier boards will become available, and creating new devices will be like assembling a construction set—fast, predictable, and with minimal engineering risks.

It’s especially gratifying to note that our boards were manufactured and successfully launched on the first try. 🎉
In the future, our proprietary RISCY-ONE-based SoM will become the universal computing module for our platform and the foundation for an entire family of carrier boards for industrial automation, robotics, and unmanned systems.
Furthermore, this architecture creates a solid technological foundation for the development of the Robocorp and Wheelies projects, where the use of a unified computing platform will accelerate the development of new devices and significantly simplify their scaling.
We’re not just building a processor—we’re creating a hardware platform around which an entire ecosystem of products can flourish.
